Family/School/Community All You Have to Do

This novel follows two young Black men separated by decades as they work to understand and define themselves. One attends an elite preparatory school in 1995, while the other studies at Columbia University in 1968. Both are student activists whose personal struggles unfold within prestigious American academic institutions. Their stories consider what it demands of Black students to pursue success in those settings and connect experiences across two historical periods.
