Ingrid wants to pursue acting, but first she must prove to her mother that she can manage its demands. Her mother, a famous opera singer, is coping with depression after losing her singing voice. Ingrid is sent to a demanding wilderness camp, where survival becomes the test she believes will show her mother she has the strength to follow her ambitions. The story links artistic dreams with family pressure and an extreme outdoor experience.
