Don’t Feed the Geckos! (The Carver Chronicles series)

Carlos learns that his cousin Bernardo will join his class at Carver Elementary and temporarily live with his family. Bernardo takes Carlos’s top bunk, his place on the school soccer team, and some of Papi’s attention. Carlos also worries when Bernardo interferes with his pet geckos. As the visit continues, Carlos tries to look beyond his cousin’s irritating behavior while protecting what matters to him.
