Daniel, Deconstructed

Daniel Sanchez is a high school student, photographer, and film enthusiast who is on the autism spectrum. He has learned to mask his autism in an allistic world, and he finds it difficult to understand feelings. Daniel becomes convinced that Gabe and Mona belong together and tries to determine whether his match-making instinct is right. The story engages with movie conventions, romance, self-presentation, and Daniel’s effort to make sense of emotions.
