Creekfinding: A True Story

This nonfiction picture book tells of Michael Osterholm’s restoration of a creek on land he bought in northeastern Iowa. The creek had been diverted decades earlier. As it was restored, wildlife gradually returned, including native brook trout. An excavator used in the project is introduced as a “creekfinding machine.” The book follows the return of a stream and the living things connected to it.
