This book examines stages of the Vietnam War through profiles of 14 women from around the world. The women include nurses, doctors, relief workers, journalists, and a well-known protester. One profile concerns journalist Kate Webb, who was captured by North Vietnamese troops and later emerged after 23 days in captivity.
