Chronically Dolores

Dolores is coping with severe symptoms from a chronic bladder condition, interstitial cystitis. The disease is not life-threatening, but it disrupts her life. She meets Terpsichore Berkenbosch-Jones, an autistic girl who is also an outsider and is homeschooled by an overprotective mother. After a difficult beginning, the girls form a tentative partnership and growing friendship as Dolores tries to regain an old friendship and adjust to high school.
