Camp Tiger
Susan Choi
Late in the summer, a boy and his family take their customary camping trip near Mountain Pond before school begins. He is uneasy about entering first grade, especially as his mother encourages him to do more for himself. At the campsite, a small, stern tiger asks for an extra tent and remains with the family through the weekend. The boy shares quiet adventures with the tiger before returning home ready to make his bed and fold his clothes himself.
