Brown Girl in the Snow

After moving from the Caribbean to a snowy new home, Amina misses the foods she once grew, including coconuts, sweet potatoes, and callaloo. Ice and snow surround her instead of the gardens she knows. Looking from a frosted window, she adapts a traditional children’s song from home.
