Black Enough: Stories of Being Young & Black in America

Edited by Ibi Zoboi, this anthology brings together fictional stories by seventeen Black authors about the varied experiences of young Black people in America. The collection includes a Nigerian American boy drawn to heavy metal through a neighbor’s band, half-sisters trying to connect at camp, four boys imagining an ideal sandwich, and stories involving queer love, sexual assault, religion, grief, family, and social class. Across these different perspectives, the book explores Black identity, connection, and teenage concerns.
