Beam Of Light: The Story of the First White House Menorah

This picture book tells how the first piece of Judaica entered the White House’s permanent holiday collection for Hanukkah in 2022. The official White House menorah was made from reclaimed wood saved during a Truman-era renovation. The beam remained in storage for seventy years through thirteen presidencies before taking on its new purpose as a menorah.
