Ayo’s Adventure: Acrosss the African Diaspora from Afro to Zulu

One night, Ayo sits before a world map, and his father tells him that their ancestors came from many African nations. Ayo then shares with his mother an account of the places, cultures, and celebrations he has encountered across the African diaspora, as well as Black people’s struggles, resistance, creativity, innovation, and inspiration around the world. The book frames these experiences as Ayo’s adventure, moving through sights and sounds connected to that diaspora.
