Attack of the Black Rectangles

Mac notices that words have been covered in his classroom copy of The Devil’s Arithmetic. Once he and his friends learn what has been removed, Mac is angry that someone at school is restricting access to the complete text. He decides to challenge that restriction, drawing on lessons from his mother and grandad, while also coping with his father’s worsening mental-health problems.
