Anastasia and Her Sisters

Anastasia, Russia’s final czar’s youngest daughter, recounts the dynasty’s last years. Her parents, Tsar Nicholas and Tsaritsa Alexandra, travel with their four daughters and youngest child Alexei by ship to Romania, where they are to meet Crown Prince Carol and his family. Although palace life brings travel and fine clothing, Alexei has an acutely painful and deadly blood disease. The parents conceal the future tsar’s condition from Russian people.
