Alebrijes

For four centuries, Earth has been a barren wasteland, and the remaining people live either in the harsh city of Pocatel or in the wilderness beyond it. Thirteen-year-old Leandro, a pickpocket, and his sister Gabi try to survive in Pocatel, where Cascabel descendants such as their family face hostility. As orphans in post-apocalyptic California, Leandro and Gabi become catalysts in efforts to create a better society.
