A Walk in the Words

This account is told by a boy who is called a slow reader. He recalls that drawing felt natural to him, while long sentences were difficult even though individual words were manageable. When reading challenges leave him overwhelmed, he turns to art. The book follows his efforts to learn to read at his own pace and chronicles both those struggles and his escape into art.
